Chaos in Nandos as Billy Joe Saunders throws chicken at Deontay Wilder

Chaos erupted at a Nandos in Belfast when Billy Joe Saunders apparently threw chicken at fellow boxer Deontay Wilder .

The pair are in the Northen Irish city ahead of tonight Tyson Fury , Carl Frampton and Paddy Barnes fight night at Windsor Park.

World heavyweight champion Wilder was dining at the restaurant on Friday evening after storming Fury’s weigh-in earlier in the day.

All hell broke loose when British boxer Billy Joe Saunders allegedly confronted the American, throwing half a chicken at him.

Footage posted on social media appears to show the WBO middleweight champion running from the restaurant as he’s chased by one of Wilder’s entourage.

Bystanders couldn’t believe their eyes as tables and chairs were knocked out of the way as the fight kicked off.

It was initially thought Wilder gave chase to Saunders, who was wearing a grey and white camouflage t-shirt.

But it later emerged it was a friend, wearing a red tracksuit while Wilder was sporting a black hoodie.

Wilder, who will be commentating for BT Sport tonight, caused chaos as he clashed with Fury and his dad a hotel in Belfast ­yesterday.

The heavyweight pair had to be separated as they ­exchanged words in the ­reception at the Europa Hotel.

The crazy scenes ­happened after the weigh-in for tonight’s card.

Wilder was quickly whisked away from the hotel when security ­finally got the melee under control.

Fury’s father, John, had earlier been restrained as he went for Wilder, after his son weighed-in at 18st 6lb ahead of his fight with Francesco Pianeta this evening.

The former world ­heavyweight champion is expected to easily beat ­little-known Pianeta, and then promoter Frank ­Warren will confirm his clash with Wilder is on in November.

Fury is set to earn more than £10million when he faces Wilder in Las Vegas, and said: “I’ll butcher Wilder, you watch. I am going to ­flatten Pianeta and against Wilder, I will not run around the ring from him, no way.

“I don’t care if I get knocked down by the first hit, I will stand and fight with that bum.”
