Khabib Nurmagomedov has revealed he suffered seizures after pushing his body to its limits before his fight with Conor McGregor .
The Russian defeated McGregor is Las Vegas last weekend although the fight was marred by shocking scenes afterwards.
Khabib climbed over the cage and launched himself at McGregor’s team before being escorted from the arena.
Ahead of the fight, there had been concerns over whether Khabib would make the weight but he hit 155lbs on the nose when they took to the scales.
Speaking to Russian TV, he admits he pushed his body too far in the build up to the fight.
"I slept very well [the night before the fight]. The day before the fight I did not sleep at all," he said.
"I had weight loss and I felt very bad. I had seizures and felt very ill.
"But if I lost I would not tell you about this. Because that would have been an excuse.
"However after the weigh-in everything was good. The main thing was my psychological attitude."
Khabib went on to suggest the UFC could have been behind McGregor’s bus attack back in April which sparked the bad blood between the pair.
He added: "In my personal opinion, I feel like the bus incident was organised with UFC’s help. I can’t accuse them, but I would give it 70 per cent that they did it. I wanted to get off the bus and all the other fighters on the bus confirmed this in their interviews, and all the managers as well.
"He’s there with his cameras and his PR team with him shooting. An important point: the Barclays Center is a very big arena, a 20,000 person arena, but he knew where we were exactly. How could they have known? And how did they enter the arena with a gang of 20, 30 men? Come on."
