Man Utd Class of '92 legends including Beckham to play in Treble Reunion match managed by Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford

The Manchester United legend, 43, is being joined by Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt in midfield for the clash, with Sir Alex Ferguson back in the dugout.

Bayern Munich will be sending a team of their own heroes on May 26 – 20 years to the day when United beat them with a dramatic injury-time double.

Beckham said: "I'm so excited to be going back to Old Trafford in May.

"1999 was such a massive year for us so recreating that moment is going to be really special.

"To be back together as a squad and to be managed by the boss again is huge. Huge for us and for the fans – I can't wait."

United are yet to name who will play up front but Phil and Gary Neville join Denis Irwin, Jaap Stam and Peter Schmeichel in a formidable rearguard.

The Manchester United Foundation are raising money from the game for youth projects across Greater Manchester.

Caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer netted the last-gasp winner for United at the Nou Camp in 1999 after Teddy Sheringham's late equaliser.

He pulled off another dramatic miracle as a manager, with Marcus Rashford completing a stunning comeback win over Paris Saint-Germain this month.

And fans will hope to see the Norwegian ace pull on the famous shirt once more when the strike force is named.
