Paul Pogba misses Man United's derby clash against Liverpool as Jose Mourinho makes three changes to starting XI

Juan Mata looks to be the player brought in by boss Jose Mourinho to replace the flamboyant Frenchman in the midfield.

SunSport reported how the French midfielder suffered a gash to his leg in training on Friday and he failed to show at the team hotel The Lowry in Manchester.

Eric Bailly also returns to the starting XI, taking Victor Lindelof's place at centre-half.

There is a recall for Marcus Rashford, who replaces Jesse Lingard. Rashford was substituted on at half-time for Scott McTominay for the 3-2 win against Crystal Palace last time out.

There is also a welcome return to the match-day squad for Marouane Fellaini, who takes his place on the bench.

Pogba, 24, had forced his way back into the team after getting axed for the Champions League clash against Sevilla last month.

Mourinho also has Ander Herrera out with a hamstring problem.
