The presenter couldn’t miss a chance to be coached through the iconic fall by the legendary actor
PHILLIP Schofield had This Morning viewers in stitches today as he recreated the iconic Only Fools and Horses bar fall.
The presenter was joined by Sir David Jason – who played Del Boy – to discuss his new book.
But talk soon turned to the iconic episode, where David had to fall through an open bar as he stood next to Trigger (Roger Lloyd-Pack) as they tried to impress two ladies.
The moment has gone down in comedy history and Phil couldn’t miss the opportunity to have a go himself as David, 77, coached him on how to do it.
The comedy legend warned Phil the hardest part was keeping his body completely straight as he went past a 45 degree angle.
Holding a fake wine glass, Phil, 55, delivered his line “Play it cool” and fell to his side on to a mat behind the counter, as co-host Holly Willoughby laughed and cheered.
David seemed impressed for the most part, but pointed out Phil had gave a telltale sign of what he was going to do, as his eyes glanced to the left before he fell.
Phil conceded: “I felt my eyes flick, it’s harder than it looks.”
Viewers loved the moment, with one writing on Twitter: “Sir David Jason showing @Schofe how to fall through the bar is the best thing I’ve seen on tv for a long time.
“He’s an absolute legend and a genius #thismorning”.
