Powell steered the Windies into the Super Six of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier with a convincing 52-run victory over Ireland in Zimbabwe.
The West Indian scored a dazzling less than run-a-ball 101 with seven fours and as many sixes to lift the Windies from 83 for five to 257 for eight.
Ireland regrouped from 32-3 to move to 166-4 but the departures of Ed Joyce (63) and Kevin O'Brien (38) in the 37th over put West Indies in control.
A video posted on social media by Cricket World Cup shows the batsman breaking the press box window with the last of his seven sixes.
The footage concludes with the centurion leaving his autograph on the cracked panel.
In addition to Powell's century, Kemar Roach's bowling was hugely important to West Indies' win as his figures of 4-27 included the vital wickets of Joyce and Kevin O'Brien.
Kesrick Williams also took four Irish wickets including the dismissal of skipper William Porterfield for a duck.
Ireland will book a Super Six spot by beating United Arab Emirates on Monday.
The two top after the Super Sixes will qualify for next year's World Cup in England and Wales.
