WWE news: John Cena vs The Undertaker II rumoured to be set for SummerSlam this month

The Biggest Party of the Summer takes place on August 19 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

And the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claim Vince McMahon and WWE chiefs are considering the blockbuster rematch as an explosive part of the show.

Cena recently put out a cryptic Instagram post, featuring a hand rising out of a grave in the style of the Dead Man, suggest a rematch could be in the offing.

The Observer claims backstage rumblings are now in the offing the highly-anticipated collision could occur at SummerSlam.

Taker returned after a year out to destroy Cena in an impromptu match at ‘Mania in less than three minutes in April by delivering a chokeslam and a Tombstone.

The Leader of the Cenation has not competed since he defeated Triple H at the Greatest Royal Rumble event later that month in Saudi Arabia due to his Hollywood commitments.

Meanwhile Undertaker’s last appearance on TV came at the same Middle East bash where he defeated Rusev in a Casket Match.

The Phenom has since performed at a live event as he joined forces with Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman to beat Kevin Owens, Elias and Baron Corbin at Madison Square Garden in a six-man tag.

Both men’s next confirmed scheduled appearance is due to be at WWE’s Super Show-Down at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia on October 6.
