A Place in the Sun's fans rip into 'miserable, hard work' couple who 'want Ralph Lauren for Primark prices' | The Sun

A PLACE in the Sun fans have slammed guest with high expectations with a low budget during the latest episode of the Channel 4 show.

In Tuesday's episode, Suzi and Andrew were looking for a rural property close to amenities in Charente, in western France.

Presenter Sara Damergi showed them what their £100k can buy.

While Suzi was happy with the most of the properties and saw the good in them, Andrew was very much the opposite and was hard to please.

He was far from impressed by the first property, despite it being under budget.

Andrew told Sara: "I just can't see past the amount of work. For me, the all kitchen would need doing again. It would be nice not to start knocking walls down."

He later added: "I didn't get the feeling. I couldn't see past some of the decor and some of the work that would need doing."

Andrew also said the garden was secure, but he wanted more of it and ideally more private.

But viewers were not a fan of Andrew's attitude or high expectations with a low budget.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "Think this bike wonker wants Ralph Lauren for Primark prices."

Another wrote: "Yet again they’re expecting too much for their budget."

A third penned: "Blimey the woman's husband is hard work!!!"

This comes after the news about co-presenter Jonnie, 49, who shares sons Rex, three, and twins Rafa and Cormac, two, with wife Jessica, 40, who announced he had terminal lung cancer which had tragically spread to his brain.

Jonnie told how he was in Italy filming for the Channel 4 holiday home series in August 2020 when he first got the warning sign that something was wrong after his vision went blurry while driving.

Returning home, he was given six months to live by doctors and told Hello! magazine last week: “I don’t know how long I have left, but I try to stay positive and my attitude is that I'm living with cancer, not dying from it.”
