Black Widow’s Final Trailer Shows Off One Of Marvel’s Most Notorious Villains

Black Widow‘s release date is less than two months away, and the final trailer for the next installment in the MCU has arrived.

Phase three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe reached an epic conclusion in 2019 via Avengers: Endgame. Marvel fans were then afforded the opportunity to take the edge off via Spider-Man: Far From Home. Spidey’s standalone movie was intended as a sort of bridge between phases three and four.

That meant quite the wait until the next MCU movie. We mean, the wait has been less than a year, but in Marvel terms that might as well be an eternity. Thankfully, the wait is finally over. Black Widow, a prequel detailing what the fallen hero got up to while away from the Avengers, will hit theaters on May 1, 2020. Providing it doesn’t fall foul of the coronavirus delays and postponements.

Since the final trailer for Black Widow was released this week, we’re assuming Marvel intends to go ahead as planned with the movie’s release date. You can check the trailer out below in which Taskmaster is given a proper showing for the first time. It was known that Taskmaster would be the primary protagonist in Black Widow, but previous trailers hadn’t featured much of him.

Natasha Romanoff’s family is also given more of a spotlight in the trailer. Seems as if the movie will feature plenty of signature Marvel comic relief. That will certainly come in handy as fans are reminded this will be the last we likely ever see of Black Widow in the MCU following the events of Endgame. If that spoiled the movie for you then we make no apologies. If you haven’ seen it by now then you really shouldn’t be reading up on what’s next.

After Black Widow, the next installment in the MCU will come in the form of its first Disney+ TV show. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Then there will be what we’re assuming will be the real start of phase four, The Eternals. The Eternals is scheduled for release in November 2020. Therein lies the problem for Marvel should they need to delay the release of Black Widow. It will have a detrimental domino effect on all of its other connected projects.
