The weekly shopping task and nail-biting nominations are being reinstated and will give the show a more classic feel.
Super-fans were invited to meet the bosses and discuss their plans for the next series last week.
Paul Osborne, who worked on the show when Nikki Grahame was cast in 2007, and Tamsin Dodgson, whose worked on I’m A Celeb and Towie, are the brains behind this year’s show.
And, according to blogs posted online by fans, there are going to be some really exciting changes.
Big Blagger, who runs a website dedicated to the show, said: “In recent years, the weekly shopping task has slowly disappeared from the show. [We have been] told shopping tasks WILL be back this summer!”
And after fans in the Q and A session raised issues with the nominations process, the bosses vowed to go back to the simpler format.
The super-fan explained: “Viewers will be pleased to hear that the nominations process is also going back to basics this year.
“Paul mentioned that he is a big fan of ‘classic’ diary room nominations.
“It was suggested to both Paul and Tamsin that they return to housemates being gathered in the sofa area to nominate one-by-one. We feel this would add back the tension to nominations – imagine what it must feel like to have to sit and look at your fellow housemates after having just nominated two of them for eviction.”
As well as this, it was also claimed “back door evictions” where stars are unceremoniously removed without warning will be done away with.
The website added: “The execs do not actually like doing backdoor evictions. However, at times they have too many housemates left and not enough time to evict them so they have to.
“In this situation, they try to do them as creatively as possible.”
The start of the next series of Celebrity Big Brother is just eight days away.
But the show has already been hit by a major crisis, as two huge names quit before even going into the house.
The Sun Online exclusively revealed how transgender journalist Paris Lees and TV presenter John Leslie quit the show at the last minute.
A source added: “It’s left frantic bosses scrambling to fill the remaining slots.
“They want to land big names but they’re really up against it with time.
“There’s just over a week to go which isn’t long to work out contracts and fees.”
Celebrity Big Brother starts again on 16 August.
