Chicago Med has undergone a lot of changes. Some of the show’s stars exited the show and a few were added to the cast. Here’s a rundown of who will be in the Chicago Med Season 7 cast.
Nick Gehlfuss
Gehlfuss plays Dr. Will Halstead. His future on the show was questioned by fans because his character was fired. However, it looks like the actor will be back for Chicago Med Season 7. Gehlfuss signed a multi-year deal to continue his role on Chicago Med, according to Deadline.
One of Gehlfuss’ early roles was in a 2010 episode of Army Wives. He played Sergeant Joe Corey in an episode titled “ Murder in Charleston.” The following year, Gehlfuss appeared in an episode of The Good Wife titled “Breaking Up,” in which he played the character Jesse. In 2013, he landed his first recurring television role in The Newsroom. He played Ross Kessler for four episodes.
Steven Weber
Weber, who plays Dr. Dean Archer, was recently added to Chicago Med as a series regular. One of Weber’s early roles was in a 1984 episode of the television series American Playhouse, in which he played Tom Driscoll. That same year, he made his film debut in the movie The Flamingo Kid. He played the role of Paul Hirsch. After that, he played Sean in the 1985 movie Walls of Glass.
Weber continued his rise to fame when he landed a recurring role on As the World Turns. He played Kevin Gibson for six episodes from 1985 to 1986. Weber joined the cast of Wings in 1990. He played the character Brian Michael Hackett until the series ended in 1997. Weber is also known for his appearances in 13 Reasons Why, Indebted, NCIS: New Orleans, and Ultimate Spider-Man.
Kristen Hager
One of Hager’s early acting roles was in the 2005 TV mini-series Beach Girls. She played Skye for six episodes. The following year, she played Kylie in four episodes of the series Runaway. She made her film debut in the 2007 movie I’m Not There, in which she played Mona/Polly. That year she also played the character Jesse in Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem.
In 2009, Hager joined the cast of Valemon. She played Sophie Gracen for 35 episodes. Hager is also known for her appearances in Being Human, The Kennedys After Camelot, and Candor.
Brian Tee
Brian Tee plays Dr. Ethan Choi. One of his early roles was in a 2000 episode of The Pretender titled “The Agent of Year Zero.” The following year, he played a DEA agent on the series Family Law. In 2005, Tee had a recurring role on Zoey 101, in which he played the character Kazu. He’s also known for his appearances in Crash, Mortal Combat: Legacy, and Rush Hour 4: Face/Off 2.
Dominic Rains
Dominic Rains plays Dr. Crockett Marcel. One of Rains’ early acting roles was in the 2003 TV movie Saving Jessica Lynch. The following year, he appeared in an episode of 24. In 2004, he landed a recurring role in the series LAX, in which he played the character Cyrus for five episodes.
Rains made his film debut in 2007 in the movie Poet’s War, in which he played the character Hamad. Rains is also known for his appearances in General Hospital, Flashforward, Outbreak, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
S. Epatha Merkerson
S. Epatha Merkerson plays Sharon Goodwin on Chicago Med. One of her early roles was in the 1986 film She’s Gotta Have It. From 1986 to 1990, she played Reba on the popular show Pee-wee’s Playhouse. The following year, Merkerson starred in the Dick Wolfe drama Law & Order. She played Lieutenant Anita Van Buren until 2010. Merkerson is also known for her appearances in Lackawanna Blues, Here and Now, and Mann & Machine.
Guy Lockard
One of Lockard’s early television roles was in a 2009 episode of the series Law & Order titled “Shotgun.” In 2011, he appeared in an episode of Law & Order: SVU titled “Personal Fouls.” His other roles include appearances in Gossip Girl, The Blacklist, and Chicago Fire.
Oliver Platt
Oliver Platt plays Dr. Daniel Charles. One of his early roles was in a 1987 episode of The Equalizer. He played Norm Jameson in an episode titled “In the Money.” The following year, Platt appeared in an episode of Miami Vice titled “Baseballs of Death.”
Platt made his film debut in the 1988 movie Crusoe, in which he played the character Mr. Newby. The Chicago Med star is also known for his appearances in Working Girl, The West Wing, and The Big C.
Marlyne Barrett
Marlyne Barrett plays nurse Maggie Lockwood. One of her early roles was in the 1997 TV movie Platinum. She made her film debut in the 2001 movie Hidden Agenda. In 2006, Barrett landed a recurring role in The Wire. She played Council President Nerese Campbell for eleven episodes until 2008. Barrett is also known for her roles in Damages, Kings, and Law & Order.
