Coronation Street actor exits after playing three different characters

A Coronation Street actor has left the cobbles after a third stint in the show.

Callum Arnott has starred on the ITV soap on three separate occasions, portraying three different characters each time.

He made his cobbles debut back on March 30, 2012, appearing in one episode of the serial drama.

On this occasion, he played a man who Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) encountered during a search for daughter Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), who was missing at the time.

Callum then returned to Weatherfield five years later. This time, he played a security guard, who was working at the Town Hall during an event which got out of hand.

The guard was forced to restrain Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine), who confronted a woman he thought to be trolling his wife Sally (Sally Dynevor). An altercation ensued, and the security guard was forced to intervene.

This episode aired on April 12, 2017.

Callum will return to the cobbles in upcoming scenes, again playing a completely different character.

He will portray a member of the council’s environmental health department, and will appear opposite Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon).

Callum took to social media on Thursday (May 26) to reveal that he’d completely another stint on the nation’s biggest soap.

‘It’s a wrap for my character with @itvcorrie,’ wrote the star on Twitter.
