Things won’t quite go to plan in an upcoming Coronation Street funeral as a fight breaks out amid descending chaos.
Paul Foreman’s (Peter Ash) friend Shelly sadly passed away from motor neurone disease in a recent episode.
Paul met Shelly at an MND support group following his diagnosis, and instantly felt a connection.
Shelly’s MND was more advanced than Paul’s, and gave him a glimpse into his future and how his journey may go.
Paul regularly visited Shelly and the pair had developed a strong friendship, leaving Paul completely devastated when he learnt of her death.

After discovering from her carer that Shelly had no family, Paul made the decision that he would be the one to plan her funeral.
In upcoming episodes, Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) will conduct Shelly’s funeral, but it won’t go the way Paul hopes.
When Paul stands to say a few words about his dear friend, he is stopped by an objection from the congregation.
Shelly’s brother, Kieran, is the one causing the disturbance, much to Paul’s disgust.
Knowing how Shelly’s family had abandoned her, Paul lays into Kieran and berates him for failing to support his sister while she was dying.
Kieran is furious with Paul’s home truths, and soon the pair are engaging in a violent tussle.
However, as Billy steps in to put a stop to the melee, he ends up being smacked in the face by Paul.
How will Billy react?
