Coronation Street spoilers: Lydia Chambers tries to brutally murder Adam Barlow; plus EastEnders & Emmerdale latest

ADAM Barlow may have met his fate after facing a constant torment from stalker Lydia Chambers as she takes her final act of revenge.

With a loving wife and a successful career, Adam had everything he needed to be happy.

Unfortunately, in December a familiar face from his past vowed to destroy all that he held dear and has succeeded in making his life a living hell – for motives that still need to be cleared.

In scenes due on our screens next week, Adam is tired of being made out to be the bad guy by Lydia (portrayed by Rebecca Ryan) and vows to take her down.

As the truth about their past comes tumbling out, a heated row ensues but when an emotional Lydia lashes out at a seemingly unrepentant Adam, a violent shove sees him falling over a first floor railing crashing onto the floor below. 

As a bloodied and unconscious Adam lays on the ground, has he paid the ultimate price for his womanising ways?

    Ross Kemp hints at EastEnders return

    ROSS Kemp has hinted at a return to EastEnders – but he's got one big condition.

    The 57-year-old starred as iconic Grant Mitchell from 1990 to 1999 and had made a couple of brief appearances since.

    But actor turned documentary maker Ross has revealed he would never say never to another trip to Albert Square.

    During an appearance on Loose Women, Carol McGiffin asked Ross if he missed acting.

    He replied: "Is it missing me is the question. My age? Rule out nothing."

    Carol continued: "What about EastEnders? If they said to you tomorrow, ‘Please come back’, what would you say?”

    Ross then revealed he'd do it if the price was right, saying: "How much? Rule out nothing. As long as it was enjoyable, I’d do it. And I did do it for 10 years."

    Corrie spoilers: Lydia gets a harsh threat

    Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) is tired of being made out to be the bad guy.

    In recent months, Lydia Chambers (portrayed by Rebecca Ryan) has made his life a living nightmare for reasons that still need to be revealed.

    Adam is first urged by his uncle Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) to phone his wife Sarah (Tina O'Brien) to try and patch things up with her.

    But upon seeing his hungover state, the Underworld PA refuses to speak to him and sends Adam packing.

    As he gets thrown out, he spots Lydia and storms over to her.

    Adam tells her he will prove what a liar she is and expose her schemes.

    While Gary continues to cover his tracks, his wife Maria (Samia Longchambon) is getting overshadowed by a political opponent.

    As she poses for photos in Victoria Garden, her nemesis, Bernard (Derren Litten), appears with James and Ashley.

    The journalist turns his attention to the two footballers and Maria is soon forgotten.

    Maria is deflated by Bernard's cheap tactics and comes to the realisation she may as well throw in the towel.

    However, Phill Whittaker (Jamie Kenna) reckons he may be able to help her.

    Dawn agrees to secretly meet Alex outside and realises she was right all along.

    Alex will not consent to Lucas' adoption unless she deals drugs for him in order to help him pay off his many debts.

    Blackmailed, Dawn keeps everything to herself and struggles to share Harriet and Billy's excitement over the adoption.

    The pressure piles up and Dawn takes things to another level by stealing from Home Farm.

    Dawn feels the walls are closing in on her and makes a final call to Alex before accompanying him to meet his drug dealer.

    But as the meeting ends, the trio are interrupted and cornered by police cars.

    Dawn is being hauled away into the back of one of them… indicating she could be losing her son Lucas as legal trouble may lie ahead.

    ALBERT Square residents are struggling after Gray Atkins faced face multiple attacks before he was finally arrested by police.

    The serial killer – who is played by actor Toby-Alexander Smith in the BBC soap – was arrested on Thursday after finally confessing to the murders of Chantelle, Tina Carter and Kush Kazemi.

    His secrets began to unravel after Tina Carter's body was found in the Argee Bhajee.

    This ultimately led to his dramatic demise, which has left every resident in the Square reeling from the truth.

    This week, the events are still fresh on everyone's minds as Gray is still remembered as the helpful neighbour who was always ready to put his lawyer skills to good use.

    But he left Shirley Carter knocked out and in hospital with a nasty head injury after attacking her during his tense, violent last scenes.

    The former barmaid has been left fighting for life after the vicious attack in the Queen Vic pub.

    Meanwhile, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) remains adamant on driving Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) away from her boyfriend Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).

    After apologising for attempting to sabotage their friendly reunion, the Rovers barmaid lets her insecurities get the best of her once again.

    Drama kicks off again when Daniel reveals Nicky has decided to apply for a teaching assistant post at Weatherfield High.

    Daisy learns that Max Turner (Paddy Bever) – who has a long-running feud with Daniel – will be in her class and comes up with a plan.

    As Daniel helps Nicky prepare for her interview, she asserts she wants to keep her history as a sex worker a secret and asks that Daisy never finds out.

    Things don't turn out as planned, however, when Nicky tells Daniel her trial session at the school didn't go well.

    Daniel lets Daisy know that Nicky failed to get the job and the barmaid is, at first glance, saddened by the news.

    But Daisy shows clear relief as soon as Daniel's back is turned.

    Did Daisy cause trouble for Nicky again?

    The pair get into a huge argument about everything that's happened and the row has devastating consequences.

    Danny Dyer acknowledges a lack of a appreciation for women on International Women’s Day

    Dani and her father, Danny, were hosting their podcast before being interrupted.

    On Tuesday, Danny Dyer said in the podcast he hosts with his daughter: “I do think women aren’t appreciated enough.”

    While speaking, Dani exclaimed: “Oh, my mum’s coming through with Santiago.”

    The pair were joined by Danny’s wife and mother of Dani, Joanne Mas who was accompanied by Dani’s 1-year-old, Santiago.

    Danny continued to praise his wife as she came in “right on cue”.

    Danniella Westbrook in training to become a holistic therapist

    DANNIELLA Westbrook has revealed that she is training to be a therapist and holistic healer, and says this spiritual new direction gives her a ‘better buzz than any drug’.

    The former EastEnders actress, 48, opens up about her surprising new direction in the new episode of her friend Paul Danan‘s podcast.

    Speaking to The Morning After, which goes live tonight at midnight, the addict speaks about how helping others is her new drug of choice.

    She says: “I am actually going off to work at a holistic centre in Harrogate. A friend of mine has opened one, they have sound healing, reiki, therapists, all different stuff.”

    As well as currently studying for an NVQ in therapy, she is also training to be a yoga teacher.

    Danniella adds: “I am learning how to be a therapist I am getting there. I am training really hard and I am doing loads of different stuff and techniques. I am learning yoga and that too.”

    On top of that, she has been approached to run a mental health course by Kirklees council in Yorkshire to help those suffering with drug and alcohol addiction, as well as their families.

      EMMERDALE fans are up in arms over ITV's new schedule shake-up that's seen the soap pushed back by 30 minutes.

      The popular rural drama has filled the 7pm slot for years, leading into Coronation Street at 7.30pm.

      But last week ITV began airing an extended hour-long News programme at 6.30pm, pushing Emmerdale back to 7.30pm and Corrie to 8pm.

      As a result the BBC has moved EastEnders to a daily 7.30pm slot creating an almighty soap clash.

      One Emmerdale viewer wrote on Twitter: "i hate this new soap schedule with emmerdale and eastenders being on at the same time."
