Coronation Street spoilers: Simon Barlow in abduction horror as Kate Connor bravely saves him from being dragged into a car

Simon, played by Alex Bain in the ITV soap, is back in Weatherfield for his sentencing after pleading guilty to breaking into Daniel Osbourne and Adam Barlow’s flat and attacking pensioner Flora McCardle earlier this year.

His accomplice, Tyler, pleaded not guilty and Simon bravely agreed to give evidence against the gang-leader.

Tyler didn’t take kindly to Simon’s betrayal and has already tried to poison Eccles, the Barlows’ dog.

Next week, Tyler’s campaign of terror really steps up a notch when the gang realise Si’s back on the cobbles.

As soon as he arrives home, he’s sent a threatening text which leaves him feeling shaken and wondering if he’s doing the right thing by standing against Tyler in court.

Later he’s terrified when two masked teens grab him in the street and try to force him into a waiting car.

He’s saved when brave Kate Connor, Faye Brookes, spots what’s happening and rushes over to help Simon.

She drags him from the car to safety before it drives off.

A jittery Simon shows his family the texts he’s being sent, leaving dad Peter Barlow vowing to protect his son no matter what.

Meanwhile Simon tells adopted mum Leanne Battersby that Tyler has won and he won’t testify against Tyler after all.

He changes his mind when the gang shoot Peter, leaving Leanne worried about what’s in store for her son.
