VICKY Jefferies makes a dramatic return to Coronation Street next week as it’s revealed she’s one of violent loan shark Rick Neelan’s clients.
And she’s subjected to a brutal beating while Gary Windass – played by Mikey North in the ITV soap – watches on helplessly, having been moved from trying to flog loans to the even grimmer task of chasing them up.
After a disappointing day trying to con people into taking out dodgy loans, Rick takes Gary aside and suggests maybe he’s not the right man for the job after all.
But Gary isn’t off the hook as Rick tells him he’s moving him into debt collection and introduces him to a scary woman called Sharon.
He tells Gary that Sharon will show him the ropes of debt collection, leaving Gary worried as he’s well aware of Rick’s bully boy tactics.
Things get worse when they get to the first house and Gary is horrified to recognise the client as Vicky – Kerri Quinn – who used to work in Underworld alongside his girlfriend Sarah Platt.
He’s mortified when Sharon tells him to start going through Vicky’s things and take anything of value.
He doesn’t know what to do, especially when – after ransacking Vicky’s stuff – Sharon starts knocking her around. What will Gary do?
Vicky arrived on the cobbles back in September 2018 as the mother of troublesome gang leader Tyler Jefferies.
She landed herself a job at Underworld when Carla Connor offered her a position.
This infuriated then-business partner Peter Barlow as his son Simon was being bullied by Tyler.
Peter eventually found her a job in another knicker factory but Vicky soon reappeared when it was revealed Tyler had got underage Amy Barlow
