CORONATION Street actress Sonia Ibrahim has revealed she's "over the moon" to be expecting her first baby, a girl, with her husband.
The mum to be, who played Mel Maguire in the soap, shared the exciting news with her Instagram fans.
Posting a photo of her and her husband, Arron Machin wearing pink clothes, Sonia, 30, wrote: "First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a BABY in a baby carriage.
She added: "I am absolutely over the moon. I feel unbelievably blessed to announce that myself and my amazing husband are expecting a beautiful little baby GIRL."
Sonia, who's due her baby on January 17, went on to say no feeling in the world can top the excitement of knowing she's going to be a mum.
"I can promise one thing, above anything else, that I am going to Love, Adore and Cherish my Little Princess more that anything in this world."
She finished the post by saying: "I can't wait to meet you in January my perfect little Princess."
And she added the cute hashtags #15weekspregnant #mamatobe #daddysgirl #cloudnine."
Sonia filmed her final scenes on Corrie in 2017.
Her character kidnapped Bethany Platt to try to stop the schoolgirl from testifying against vile groomer Nathan Curtis in court.
"It's been an amazing time, it's been great to work here," Sonia said on leaving the soap.
