CORONATION Street has dropped a major hint about Emma Brooker’s exit storyline.
The barmaid – who is played by actress Alexandra Mardell in the ITV soap – will soon leave Weatherfield after the star quit the soap.
In last night’s episode viewers got a hint of what might be about to happen.
As Emma continued her flirtation with Jon – the grandson of the man she helped kill, she received some devastating news from him.
With their date going well, he made a shocking confession.
He told her: “I’m moving away to Australia.
“I’m really excited, I’ve always wanted to go but I’m also a bit gutted now because it means I won’t be able to get to know you better.”
Looking upset, Emma tried to put a positive spin on it.
She replied: “Big move. You know I used to live in Australia.
“Let’s look at the positive side – we could be really romantic and treat it as a summer fling.
“Let’s just enjoy the time we have together – no pressure, just lots of fun.”
As well as Jon moving to Australia, Emma’s mum – Corrie legend Fiona Middleton – also lives there.
