Coronation Street's Geoff Metcalfe to be killed off in a whodunnit, says dark fan theory

CORONATION Street fans are convinced Geoff Metcalfe will be killed off in a dramatic whodunnit.

The dark fan theory claims the evil abuser will be killed by one of a host of potential killers and buried in the garden before being discovered in time for December's 60th anniversary.

Geoff is one of the most hated characters in Corrie history after his coercive control over Yasmeen Nazir and his sickening actions towards all of his romantic partners.

Yasmeen is currently in prison awaiting trial for attempting to kill Geoff after he attacked her with a knife and she defended herself with a wine bottle.

As well as Yasmeen, who has finally snapped out of his control and plead not guilty to attempted murder, he has a veritable army of enemies wanting him gone.

There's his daughter-in-law Sally Metcalfe, Yasmeen's granddaughter Alya and his own ex-wife Elaine assuming he hasn't murdered her.

Even his son Tim has begun to see Geoff for what he really is, and last week his granddaughter Faye overheard his vile insults to Sally.

The endless stream of potential murderers has fuelled the fan theory that Geoff will be a goner.

Writing on DS Forums, one said: "Who killed Geoff Metcalfe storyline for the anniversary episode."

A second said: "The sinkhole would be good but maybe somewhere else? Geoff has been killed in a major who dunnit storyline, the body is buried but a sinkhole appears where the body has been buried."

Another added: "Do Geoff murder at Halloween and reveal it during the 60th anniversary live episode (if they were planning of doing one)."
