Dancing On Ice's Rachel Stevens returns to rink after surprise recovery from wrist injury

IT was double joy for Rachel Stevens after she made a surprise recovery from her wrist injury — and healed a rift with her dad.

The former S Club 7 singer, 43, pulled out of performing her first skate tonight to recover from a fracture suffered during training in December.

But she was pictured back in rehearsals for the ITV show yesterday with pro partner Brendyn Hatfield, 36.

Rachel told the Sun on Sunday: “I’m so happy to be back on the ice.

“Brendyn asked if I was nervous, but I’m more excited than nervous.

“He has created a wonderful routine and I can’t wait to perform at last.”

Rachel finally sorted a feud with dad Michael, 75, who she had not spoken to for ten years.

They fell out after she discovered he had allegedly penned a sleazy guide to London’s best call-girls.

Michael called her a “total a******e”, adding: “I don’t care if I never see her again.

"She’s a stunningly beautiful girl. That’s about all she is. She’s so selfish.”

But Rachel’s stepmum Kristina, 52, has now said: “Rachel and Michael are back together again now.

“There is 18 of us in the family and everyone is really nice and happy together.

"It was really hard a long time ago in the past, but it’s all positive.

"We all want Rachel to do well on the show.”
