Denise Lewis pregnant at 45 as Olympic star announces child four on Twitter

The gold medallist revealed she is pregnant on Twitter by posting a pic of her in a bikini showing off her baby bump and adding: "#oldermum".

The track legend wrote: "Well Twitter friends, I haven’t let myself go. I’m eating for two.

"Excited and a little nervous even though I have been here before, but hoping for a healthy and trouble free pregnancy."

The TV presenter had a glittering career as a heptathlete, winning gold at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.

Among the well-wishers was sports star Dame Kelly Holmes, who admitted she had already guessed the good news.

She wrote on Twitter: "Ha ha see I told you I knew…congrats lovely."

Denise replied: "Honestly only you!!! I was doing well up to seeing you."

Swimmer Sharron Davies and runner Hannah England also took to social media to wish their friend well.

Alastair Campbell, model Nell McAndrew and June Sarpong MBE also posted their congratulations.

Denise has a 15-year-old daughter with her ex-husband, Belgian runner Patrick Stevens.

She already has two sons with new hubby Steve Finan O'Connor, son of comedy legend Tom O'Connor, who she married in 2006.

The athlete won an OBE in 2001 and freedom of her hometown of Wolverhampton in 2000.

She has since presented Olympics coverage, as well as The One Show, Right on the Money with Dominic Littlewood and Secret Britain.

In 2004 she came runner up in 2004's Strictly Come Dancing, losing in the final to Jill Halfpenny.
