If you thought you spotted a familiar face on last night’s (March 6) EastEnders, you weren’t mistaken.
Towards the end of the episode, Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) chats in the Queen Vic to hitman Victor, who he has hired to take out Aidan Maguire (Patrick Bergin).
And he was played by a rather well-known actor – Kevin Eldon, sometimes referred to comically as “the actor Kevin Eldon”, who has been in virtually everything.
We’re talking nearly every British comedy of the last decade or two, such as I’m Alan Partridge and The IT Crowd, as well as movies like Hot Fuzz and Four Lions, to name a few.
He has also had cameos in Game of Thrones, starring as an actor in the Braavos play Arya watches in season six, as well as one of the Goldcloaks that Gendry whacks with his hammer in season seven.
Fans were pretty elated to see Kevin on the BBC soap:
Mick’s interaction with the hitman got off to an awkward start after he mistook someone else to be the man he was looking for.
After revealing why he became a hitman, Victor checked whether Mick wanted to reconsider his decision, before Linda (Kellie Bright) intervened in their conversation.
EastEnders airs on BBC One.
