Stacey Slater – who is played by actress Lacey Turner – is currently having a rough time struggling with her finances while running her own business.
And EastEnders fans have now pointed out a blunder with the storyline.
Fans have branded the storyline as "daft" as Eve Unwin – who is living under the same roof as Stacey – is a full-time working professional and must be sharing some of the financial burdens Stacey is going through.
Viewers began to share their thoughts on Twitter after seeing Eve sitting at the kitchen table with a bottle of whiskey.
"This is all nonsense. How can Eve afford the bottle?" one wrote online, while another agreed by writing: "The Stacey storyline is really getting a bit daft now."
"She's struggling to give her kids breakfast and pay bills but Eve sits with a full bottle of whiskey," a third commented.
A fourth went on to say: "There are so many earning adults but they can't manage. It just doesn't make sense at all."
As she has been struggling, Stacey recently found herself reaching for help from loan shark Shiv.
But the mum of two then turned to OnlyFans as another source of income after being introduced to the platform by Freddie Slater.
Stacey previously reached out to her mum Kat Slater – who is portrayed by Jessie Wallace – to ask for help after Shiv demanded she pay the loan in full within 24 hours.
After Stacey confided in her, Kat agreed to help with the money, but Phil Mitchell vowed to deal with Shiv himself.
And fans were pleased to see Stacey take control of the situation by asking for support.
One said: "About time you asked for help, Stacey!" while a second shared: "Stacey swallowing her pride to ask Kat and Phil for help,” before adding a crying emoji.
Meanwhile, Lacey and her co-stars including Natalie Cassidy, Heather Peace and Adam Woodyatt raised £50,000 in memory of Dame Barbara Windsor – who famously played Peggy Mitchell – by running the London Marathon.
Lacey was seen emotional and had tears streaming down her face before she ran up to her husband Matt Kay – who was carrying their daughter Dusty on his shoulders.
A couple of days on from the marathon, Lacey thanked Babs' Army for "inspiring" and "motivating" her to go ahead with the race.
"I cannot believe I’m writing this !! We did it !! I did it !! 26.2 miles of love from London, thousands of pounds donated by you lovely lot for @alzheimersresearchuk !! 1 team of unbelievable people @babsarmy thank you for letting me be a part of it!" she wrote.
"Inspiring me, encouraging me to do things I never thought I could do !! @londonmarathon what an experience and thank you for my medal ! I would not have made it round with @candicebrown one of life’s humans that is made of pure gold!!”
