Emmerdale: Leanna gets revenge on "gold-digging cow" Maya

Sparks flew in tonight’s (August 22) episode of Emmerdale as Leanna branded Maya a “lying, gold-digging cow” while spreading malicious rumours about her online.

Jacob Metcalfe and his dad’s new girlfriend, Maya, have been close in the past, but he was cornered in the shop by Leanna, who wanted his help distributing insulting flyers in the newspapers.

The papers, which labelled Maya a “gold-digger” were stacked high in the newsagents when Maya burst in, furious with her stepdaughter.

Jacob tried to explain to Maya, but Leanna insulted her before storming out of the place.

The pair then shared a heart to heart, in which they both described their dislike for Leanna and Maya warned her beau’s offspring to “stay away from her” because she was “trouble”.

We don’t disagree, Maya, but not everyone was fooled by your sob story.

Afterwards, Jacob accidentally let slip that he and Leanna had gone on a joyriding bender when they stole Ross’ car in order to get to school on time.

However, Maya showed her soft spot for Jacob and didn’t rat him out when he begged her not to tell anyone.

Elsewhere, Belle and Lachlan got excited about putting an offer down on their dream house, but Priya revealed she sorted a dog patrol for the glamping site.

As a result, Lachlan slipped through the woods to the cabin he held Rebecca in, but was nearly caught by a security guard, before he walked away.

Inside, Lachlan noticed the message Rebecca wrote about him and tried to get rid of the evidence, but Priya arrived and forced him to hide around the corner.

Luckily, Priya didn’t spot him, but she did see the remains of the scrubbed out message: “Lachlan a k”.

Could this spell trouble for Lachlan in the future?
