Emmerdale lines up Lachlan's final murder targets and 9 other big soap moments you have to see this week

Struggling to keep track of the constant stream of soap spoilers? Fear not, as every Monday Digital Spy picks out the biggest and best storylines hitting your screens in the week ahead.

1. Emmerdale: Belle’s in grave danger (Tuesday at 7pm on ITV)

Belle finds herself caught in a living hell when she discovers Lachlan’s true twisted nature and realises that he might have murdered Sam. Pleading with her deranged boyfriend to reveal what he’s done to her brother, who’s gone missing, Belle is terrified when Lachlan shows her Sam’s lifeless body slumped underneath the stairs in the Dingle house.

But before Belle has a chance to check if her sibling is dead or alive, Lachlan forces her out of the place with him. Hours later, Zak and Lisa’s daughter is left injured and lying in the middle of the road. Knowing it’s nearly game over for him, will the wicked White kill the love of his life in a final act of evil?

2. EastEnders: A shooting on the Square (Monday at 8pm on BBC One)

The Carters find themselves in the firing line when Stuart emerges from hiding to take his revenge on the family. The week begins with Mick paying a visit to Stu’s flat, where the unhinged villain tries to provoke the landlord into assaulting him. Wound-up Mick walks away from Stuart’s goading, but it’s not the last he’s seen of Tina’s tormentor.

Later, Stuart sneaks into The Vic and lies in wait to make his move, as Mick pops out to give Lady Di a walk. Shortly afterwards a shot is heard ringing round Albert Square, and someone is left fighting for their life. Who is the unlucky person to take a bullet, and will they survive?

3. Hollyoaks: Scott is framed for Buster’s crimes (Tuesday at 7pm on E4 and Wednesday at 6.30pm in on Channel 4)

Luke’s world comes crashing down when he finds the indecent images that evil Buster took of Ollie, and realises the months of abuse his son has suffered right under his nose. But Buster is still one step ahead of the game. Panicked that the net may be closing in on him, the cunning coach concocts a plan to make Scott look like the guilty party.

Poor Scott is bewildered when two police officers arrive to cart him down to the station for questioning. As the coffee shop worker pleads his innocence, the press get wind of Scott’s arrest, while his name is also splashed all over social media. Is Buster’s former victim Brody the only person who can blow the whistle on him?

4. Coronation Street: Jim McDonald returns (Friday at 8.30pm on ITV)

Jim McDonald is back in Weatherfield this week, so he is. Steve’s wayward father makes an unexpected return in the middle of his son’s raucous Rovers stag do, bringing the party to an abrupt halt. Sick of all of his dad’s drama, angry Steve tells Jim he wants nothing to do with him, before storming out of the boozer.

And Peter is equally fuming to come face-to-face with the man who poisoned him with alcohol while they were serving time in prison four years ago. Predictably, Jim’s loyal ex-wife Liz is slightly more accommodating, and fills him in on what’s been going on since he was last in contact. Will Liz play peacemaker and try to reunite Steve and Jim?

5. Neighbours: Aaron and David say ‘I do’ (Monday at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5)

After a rocky lead-up, Aaron and David’s wedding is finally here, and the boys are determined that it will be the best day ever. However, in true soap wedding style, things don’t go without a hitch when unimpressed Susan finds herself replaced as the celebrant by eccentric Jemima Davies-Smythe after a misunderstanding.

And there’s further drama when Aaron’s bad back forces him to hobble down the aisle towards his hubby-to-be, with Mark and Chloe propping him up. But despite proceedings not going quite to plan, Aaron and David make it through their vows, and are over the moon to become husband and husband. Here’s hoping their start to married life will be less eventful!

6. Coronation Street: Bethany rumbles Billy’s secret (Friday at 7.30pm on ITV)

When Bethany witnesses Billy handing money over to homeless Frank, her first thought is that the former vicar is back on the drugs again. But after following Mr Mayhew to Weatherfield General, Bethany makes an even darker discovery – Billy’s been visiting David’s rapist Josh on the sly.

Despite Billy claiming his trips are because he feels to blame for the injuries Josh sustained from Ethan, Bethany’s not having any of it and accuses him of betraying her uncle’s trust. Returning home to break the news to David, Bethany is stopped in her tracks when she sees him playing happily with Max, and decides not to ruin his relaxed mood. But how long will she be able to hide the truth?

7. EastEnders: Mel’s ex arrives on the Square (Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One)

Smitten Jack takes the plunge this week, asking Mel to become the next Mrs Branning. But before she has a chance to give him an answer to his proposal, they’re interrupted by an unannounced visitor – Mel’s former husband Ray Kelly. Initially bewildered by Ray’s arrival, Mel later learns Hunter was behind the whole thing and gives her son a piece of her mind. But Jack senses Mel’s more rattled to see Ray than she’s letting on. Does he have good reason to be worried?

The following day, Ray arranges a lunch with Mel and Hunter, and secretly invites Jack along to. What is he playing at? Could Jack be at risk of losing the woman he loves?

8. Emmerdale: Victoria makes her move on Matty (Thursday at 7pm on ITV)

Matty and Victoria are carrying on their performance of ‘we’re not into one another’. But when Vic gets asked out on a date from admirer Ellis, it’s clear Matty is feeling a little green-eyed. Spotting Ellis getting his flirt on with another group of girls, protective Matty confronts his love rival and the pair come to blows, before being pulled apart by Moira.

Angry with his mum for accidentally referring to him in the wrong gender, upset Matty decides to move in with Vic and he starts to question just how deep his feelings for his best friend go. Deciding to make the first move, Victoria goes in for a snog. Are the couple about to become a lot more than roomies, or will Matty bottle it?

9. Hollyoaks: Darren dumps Mandy (Monday at 7pm on E4 and Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4)

Following the horrifying discovery that Milo was the person who killed her mum and stepdad, Mandy’s gutted when Darren isn’t there for her as a shoulder to cry on. But Dazza’s keeping his distance because he’s getting cold feet over their affair. Finally deciding he’s had enough of leading a double life, Mr O tells Mand it’s over, and advises her to leave Luke if she wants to have a clean break.

Heeding her lover’s words, Mandy tells Ella to pack her belongings as they’re leaving the village. Heartbroken by Darren’s decision to finish things, Mandy tells him she can’t forgive him. Will his guilt over hurting her lead Darren back into Mandy’s arms?

10. Home and Away: Ty leaves the Bay (Tuesday at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5)

It’s bye bye Ty as the teen leaves Summer Bay for a fresh start with Jodi. After finding the courage to come out to his mum, Ty is relieved when Jodi instantly accepts his sexuality, saying she loves him and always will. But when Jodi gets a call from her boss to say she needs to return to work, she makes a big decision and asks her son if he would like to come and live with her, promising to never abandon him again.

After thanking foster parents Marilyn and John for everything they’ve done for him, Ty bids an emotional farewell and drives away with Jodi. How will heartbroken John and Marilyn readjust to life after losing the lad they considered their own?
