Emmerdale's Bernice Blackstock goes full Bake Off with her saucy innuendo

Tonight’s (September 4) Emmerdale saw Lachlan reveal to Belle Dingle that he hadn’t actually killed Sam, but at the same time he’s barely alive. Robert also hears noises coming from the house, and the episode ends with himself in the firing line.

That’s all well and good, but the standout moment of this episode was Bernice Blackstock’s less-than-subtle flirting with Dr Cavanagh in the salon.

There was an incident yesterday where Faith claimed her face was burning, but once she nipped away from the salon to recover down the pub (naturally), Dr Cavanagh and Bernice were left alone, and Bernice upped the charm offensive.

Talking about the medicinal powers of her favourite flavour of tea, she dropped an innuendo that would have made the stars of The Great British Bake Off blush: “No one leaves here without a taste of my honey bush.”

Although she’s now ruined tea for us forever (and made us spit out all over our keyboard, thanks Bernice), viewers were howling at the line. More of this please, Emmerdale writers!

Also, Graham Foster made his grand return after a few weeks away, so that’s nice.

Carry On Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV from 7pm.
