Good Morning Britain 's Susanna Reid has insisted that the hit breakfast show isn't "Good Morgan Britain yet" after her co-host Piers Morgan was met with mass praise for his no nonsense MP interviews.

Speaking at the start of Tuesday's show, Susanna, 50, was keen to remind viewers she "is here too" as Piers highlighted your Daily Star's front page debating if he would make a good Prime Minister.

Holding up our paper, Piers decided the first part of the award-winning show would see them to discuss his possible move into politics.

Piers, 55, said: "It has got a ring to it.

"Could I do any worse? That is the real question."

Reading out the article, Piers beamed as we thanked him for holding members of parliament to account over the ongoing pandemic.

Interrupting, Susanna added: "I am here too by the way.

"It is not Good Morgan Britain yet."

Holding up her hand as if for attention, she playfully added again: "I am here too."

Referencing a shocking interview from Monday's show with Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Thérèse Coffey in which the MP turned off her video camera mid chat, Piers said: "There is a point to it when we do go hard on the ministers, who shines and who doesn't?

"She reminded me of someone at the local W.I meeting trying to turn off the Zoom."

Hitting out at accusations by Ms Coffey that Good Morning Britain bosses kept her waiting before going on air, Piers said: "If you want to us to keep to time then give us a straight answer.

"The reason we were four minutes late was because we had a very powerful interview with a Holocaust and Covid surviver and we thought it important to give it more time."

Keen to see if Good Morning Britain viewers want him to leave the show and run for the top job, producers hosted a poll via their official Twitter feed.

After seeing support for PM to be PM was stuck around 26%, Piers chuckled: "I can't believe that GMB viewers don't want me to run the country."

"Perhaps it is because they don't want you to leave Good Morning Britain?", Susanna replied with a smirk on her face.

Insisting the best is yet to come, Piers boasted: "That poll is going to change.

"This is about a movement and the Daily Star has started the movement.

"I could make time in my schedule to do better job than Boris Johnson. It wouldn't be hard would it."
