Good Morning Britain bosses ‘fear Ranvir could walk’ after Strictly success

Good Morning Britain chiefs are now in fear that Ranvir Singh could walk after becoming so successful during her Strictly Come Dancing stint.

The 43-year-old, who is a political editor for the breakfast favourite, is due to renegotiate her contract with ITV bosses after it expires in the New Year.

Ranvir has been so popular on the BBC dancing competition that insiders believe her sights could be set higher next year, with other possible lucrative deals leaving her contract in the balance.

It was suggested that her role on the show that often sees Ranvir talking to Westminster in the cold before the break of dawn, may no longer suffice.

A source told Daily Mail: "Ranvir is bigger than standing on Downing Street in the rain in the early hours of the morning now.

"She has shown her true self on Strictly and is now quite the star."

A representative of Good Morning Britain has been contacted by Daily Star Online.

Alongside her political role, Ranvir will often step in for main hosts Piers Morgan and Susana Reid when they are absent from the show.

Since taking to the dance floor to compete for the glitterball trophy, the mum-of-one's close-knit bond with dance partner Giovanni Pernice has sent the rumour mill into a complete spin.

As the weeks unravel, Ranvir and that ballroom dancing pro's relationship has seemingly blossomed with their chemistry fuelling romance talk.

Last week, things intensified after Giovanni was caught saying "I love you" during a clip of their performance.

Since then, the TV presenter has been forced to deny that their budding romance is anything more than "fantasy".

Chums of the pair have since com forward to also insist that their relationship is "just for TV".

During Saturday night's semi-finals, the duo blew the judges away with their rendition of the Viennese waltz to the song She Used To Be Mine from the musical Waitress.

Craig Revel Horwood was full of praise awarding the pair a nine out of 10 for their "beautiful" performance.

Motsi Mabuse was almost reduced to tears following their dance, she added: "I was moved from your words from your VT and I think every mum has a connection, but I'm more emotional about your dancing!

"Because now you've finally come into you… all your qualities came together today.

"For me that was such a magic moment."

Giovanni and Ranvir received another high score of 27 out of 30 after being awarded nines from all three judges.
