After re-starting their affair earlier this week, Mandy Richardson and Darren Osborne came close to getting caught on tonight’s (August 7) E4 first-look Hollyoaks — if it wasn’t for Luke Morgan’s rubbish observation skills.

After previously deciding to cool things off, Mandy cheated on Luke with Darren again during Monday night’s episode and the episode showed her secretly taking the morning after pill the next day.

When Luke discovered the pill packet in his wife’s handbag he rushed to the The Hutch to confront her, walking in just after she and Darren had finished another illicit romp.

And while Mandy had managed to get her dress back on in time, Darren was still shirtless when Luke walked in to accuse his wife of cheating on him again.

But despite Darren’s half-naked appearance, Luke didn’t even seem suspicious that his best mate might be the man Mandy was cheating with.

Unsurprisingly, viewers didn’t think much of Luke’s observation skills:

Later Mandy managed to convince Luke that the reason she was taking the morning after pill was because they had sex the night before when he was drunk — and, of course, Luke believed her.

Now Luke is convinced that he and Mandy need to have another baby — but how long will it be before he (or Darren’s wife Nancy) discovers what’s really been going on?

Hollyoaks airs weekdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing weekdays at 7pm on E4.
