Hollyoaks star Guy Burnet unrecognisable 14 years after shock exit as he walks the red carpet at Hollywood movie | The Sun

HOLLYOAKS star Guy Burnet is undoubtedly one of the UK's greatest soap exports.

The actor, 36, spent six years, between 2002 and 2008, as Craig Dean in the Channel 4 drama.

He has since gone on to establish himself as a major player in US TV and film with roles alongside Hollywood's elite.

The Brit star had an LA sheen when he recently graced the red carpet for the premiere of his latest flick Dead for a Dollar.

The Western features Christoph Waltz as a veteran bounty hunter on a complex mission in Mexico and has supporting turns from Willem Dafoe and Rachel Brosnahan.

Emanating a Californian glow, Guy sported a neatly trimmed beard and wavy hair as he walked the carpet in a smart black and white outfit.

His return to the big screen follows a leading role in Pitch Perfect 3 opposite Anna Kendrick and a turn as Ewan McGregor's sidekick in the Johnny Depp led crime caper Mortdecai.

During his Hollyoaks years Guy was involved in a series of nail-biting plotlines as his teenage character Craig struggled with his sexuality.

Craig went on to get engaged to John-Paul McQueen and they formed one of the soap's most popular couples.

Despite leaving in 2007, Guy briefly returned to the role the following year for a rare moment of soapland bliss. Craig and John-Paul were given a happy ending as they left the series for a new life together.

Years later John-Paul later returned to the soap without Craig, but his lover's off-screen presence still loomed large.

In Counterpart, Guy played Claude Lambert, and starred opposite Whiplash actor J.K. Simmons, Game of Thrones’ Harry Lloyd and Sixth Sense actress Olivia Williams.
