Home and Away star Ray Meagher has opened up over the death of his on-screen sister Cornelia Frances.
The actress, best known for playing Morag Bellingham on the Australian soap, sadly passed away in May after being diagnosed with bladder cancer last year.
Ray – who plays Morag’s brother Alf – paid tribute to his co-star at the time of his death, but has spoken out again, saying how Cornelia was “incredibly brave” during her final moments.
“She was incredibly brave right through to the end, she didn’t talk about the pain or anything”, Ray told the Daily Mail.
“You could see her deteriorating and her condition deteriorating as things got closer to the end.”
Speaking at the time, Ray said: “Cornie was an incredibly loved and valued member of our cast over many, many years.

“We had a moment of silence for her on set this morning and she’ll be sadly missed by both cast and crew.”
Following Ray’s tribute, other actors from the soap including Kimberley Cooper and Debra Lawrence also paid their respects to Cornelia online.
Home and Away airs weekdays on Channel 5 in the UK.
