I'm A Celebrity star Tony Bellew has said he was ready to knockout the dad of a pupil who was bullying his son at school.
The former heavyweight boxing champ said he considered landing a blow to teach the bully a lesson. Tony, 40, said: "My son’s had arguments at school and I think a kid’s butted him once. I wanted to go up and fill the kid's dad in – just so the kid understands that, I’m never going to do that again'."
The unsuspecting father doesn’t know how close he came to being flattened by Bellew, who was talked out of it by his wife. Tony continued: "But it was only my wife talking round to stop me doing it. I was going to fill the kid’s dad in right outside the school in front of his son. And that’s the kind of thing where you need someone on your shoulder saying: '‘You can’t do that!' Because that’s how it goes, but the school dealt with it, it was what it was.”

Tony said he has instead taught his sons how to box so they can throw a punch in self-defence. He added: "Not to doubt the kid, because I expect my son to deal with that. Fights are going to happen until the end of time. My missus was like, 'You can’t do that' and I was like, 'Yeah I can, because if I do that his son will soon realise don’t ever touch my son again.'. And she was like, 'Your thought process can’t just be attack.' And I was like, 'It's not, I’m trying to put it right! So she talked me round and I’ve now realised that wasn’t the right way, so as long as he gives a belt back it’s job done."
It comes after Tony compared his campmate Sam Thompson so his children as he gets to know the Made In Chelsea star during their time in the Australian jungle. In recent scenes, Sam, 31, who is a huge fan of Tony's, hilariously asked the cruiserweight boxer if he could sit on his knee.
Sam, asked: "Can I sit on your knee, Tony?" Letting him sit, Tony said: "Feeling OK, son?", grinning Sam couldn't hold back his smile and replied: "It's everything I ever dreamed of." Later, in the Bush Telegraph Tony said: "He's just a ball of energy. He never stops. I have four kids. It's not my first rodeo around children. He is literally the most energetic person I've ever met in my bloody life."
