James Martin recalls buying a Range Rover 'while drunk'

This Morning’s Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield welcomed James Martin onto the show today for his usual weekly cooking segment. The ITV chef was preparing Phillip’s favourite, pork ribs, but the This Morning star was alarmed when James appeared to suggest he was getting ready to leave the show for good after thanking them for the last year. 

Halfway through his demonstration, the chef said: “While it’s a bit of a lull, I just want to say thank you for having me, it’s been a year since I’ve been on the show.”

“Has it really?” Holly asked and an alarmed Phillip remarked: “Are you leaving? It sounds like your resigning.”

“I’m not going unless you want me to go,” James hit back and Holly added: “Happy show birthday.”
