Jeremy Kyle mocks Dr Alex George by laughing about his failure to find a girlfriend on Love Island

After Dr Alex gave his thoughts on NHS slimming pills, he was asked by Kate Garraway, 51, if he was good at ironing after co-presenter Charlotte Hawkins, 43, suggested it was an easy way to a woman's heart.

He replied: "I'm very good at ironing actually. Did you not see me on the Island? I was doing everyone's shirts."

Jeremy, who recently returned to radio with a new talkRADIO show, replied: "All I did was watch you not get a woman."

The TV star also suggested he should hang around for their next segment on First Dates Hotel "because he spent eight months on Love Island with beautiful women and didn't pull."

Those watching at home were left divided into those who found Jeremy's comments funny and others who rushed to defend the young doc.

Alongside a 'laughing face' emoji, one wrote: "Jezza to Dr Alex 'All I saw was you not getting with a woman' #GMB."

However, another commented: "@GMB anyone else cringe at JK comment to Dr Alex about watching him not getting a girl.

"Seemed belittling and very unnecessary. Not cool GMB #jeremykyle."

It comes after Jeremy urged Kate Garraway to to sign up to I’m A Celebrity after The Sun On Sunday exclusively revealed she had been approached by ITV bosses.

Waving a copy of our newspaper at Kate yesterday, Jeremy, told her she could easily become the next queen of the jungle.

The Sun On Sunday revealed how Kate had been approached with an offer said to be worth £150,000.

She remained coy during yesterday's episode of the hit ITV show and blushed when Jeremy said she should go for it.

Guest Jack Maynard, who had a short-lived stint Down Under last year, also thought Kate should take bosses up on their offer and shouted: “Go for it!”

Weatherman Alex Beresford likewise encouraged her to take part, but she moaned: “My hair would look awful in the jungle!”
