She’s favourite to head into the Channel 5 show after The Sun Online exclusively revealed two major names pulled out today.
Katie, 40, won the show back in 2015 and with her finances in a dire straits, the lucrative gig could be a big draw.
A spokesperson for Coral told The Mirror: “It would certainly be no surprise to see Katie sign up for another series of Big Brother this summer, with the show having previous in bringing back former contestants.
“She was hugely popular on the show back in 2015 and we’ve slashed our odds on her attempting to repeat her victory three years on this summer.”
Katie’s ex-husband Kieran Hayler has also been touted to join the line-up, which includes Jermaine Pennant, Dan Osborne and Gabby Allen.
Yesterday, Katie avoided being declared bankrupt in court after she was given three months to come up with a plan to pay off her debts.
If they could sign up Katie for a second stint in the house it would certainly help out Big Brother bosses, who’re desperately trying to find two new faces.
Earlier today John Leslie and Paris Lees dropped out, leaving the show in crisis.
A source said: “Paris’s deal broke down during last minute negotiations, so she won’t be going into the house anymore.
“And John was offered a big, six-figure deal but turned it down and now he’s out of the running too.
“It’s left frantic bosses scrambling to fill the remaining slots.
“They want to land big names but they’re really up against it with time.
“There’s just over a week to go which isn’t long to work out contracts and fees.”
The Sun Online reported yesterday that Ryan Thomas was close to pulling out of the show when he discovered former Towie star Dan had also signed up to appear.
Ryan, who dates former Towie star Lucy Mecklenburgh, didn’t want to be trapped in the CBB house with Dan, who used to date Lucy back in 2013.
