Kelly Brook has opened up about being judged for not having any children.

The 38-year-old revealed that she had tried to have children in the past but just hadn’t been lucky and suffered through many miscarriages.

Speaking about her frustration with being asked why she doesn’t have any kids, she told the Loose Women panel: "I mean obviously people always ask me because my biological clock is ticking and I’m approaching 40 and people are like, ‘When are you going to have children?’."

Kelly, who is now dating Jeremy Parisi, explained: "I have tried to have children i haven’t been lucky. I’ve had several miscarriages and it’s just that when you ask that question to someone you’ve got to think, ‘Hang on a minute, there might be a medical reason why I might not have children.

"It’s not because I’m flying around the world and I’m a selfish person and I don’t want to have a family’."

After the rest of the panel sympathised with her, Kelly added: "I never have the right answer because it’s like I never really want to go into it because it’s no one’s business."

The model had been pregnant twice while she was dating rugby star Thom Evans.

However Kelly had been devastated when her first child died at six months pregnant.

Soon after she miscarried a second time, which led to her splitting up with the sports star.

Describing her first miscarriage as the "most painful thing" she’d experienced, she wrote in her autobiography about the aftermath: "Thom and I spent a lot of time crying that week. Ironically, something that had been such a shock and so unplanned had become something we’d both been desperately looking forward to.

"We’d been on a highly charged, very emotional journey and for it to end the way it did felt cruel and truly devastating."
