Kick-Ass creator Mark Millar is teasing some “big news” concerning his famous comic creations Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl.
While not giving away anything substantial, the comic creator (also the brains behind Kingsman) released a series of tweets that could suggest a movie sequel is on the way.
“Next Week: The beans spilled on Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl. Get excited!” he teased last week (November 8), before going one further and revealing he was writing a press release.
He then teased on Friday (November 10) that some “big news” concerning the two was on its way.
As he included pictures of their movie forms – played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloe Grace Moretz respectively – we imagine it will be news on that front. Alternatively, it could also be a prequel, which first movie director Matthew Vaughan teased a few years back.
His comic creation Kick-Ass – an ordinary teenager who decides to become his own superhero – spawned two movies, notable for their comedy and graphic violence.
And while it could be the long-awaited Kick-Ass 3, Millar may also be teasing a fourth comic in his Kick-Ass series.
Another option could be a Netflix adaptation of some sort, as Millar’s company Millarworld was recently acquired by the streaming giant.
Whatever it is, count us very excited indeed. Watch this space.
