Lee Ryan says he’s ‘learnt his lesson’ from Celebrity Big Brother love triangle – but could be tempted by ‘gorgeous' Strictly girls

The Blue singer famously romanced Jasmine Waltz and Casey Batchelor when he appeared in the house in 2014 – which ended in tears all round.

When quizzed about history repeating itself at the Strictly launch last night, Lee told The Sun Online: “I think I learnt my lesson. I am just going to keep my feet to the floor and my eyes on my feet!”

However he’s pretty impressed with the women taking part and admitted he doesn’t actually believe in the Strictly curse.

He said: “I don’t know why they say it is like the Strictly curse. I can’t see how it could be a curse because have you seen the girls? They are absolutely gorgeous.

“Everyone is so lovely and I am single but I am not really looking to get with anyone.  I just want to learn the Charleston.”

The star revealed he is “nervously excited” about the challenge ahead, saying:  “I am most looking forward to learning the different dance routines and the acting. You can really combine the two!

“I am least looking forward to leaving because I think I am going to have such a great time on the show that I’ll probably want to stay. But you can’t live in the Strictly bubble forever!”

Last night the class of 2018 made their Strictly debut at the launch event alongside hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.

The hosts kicked off the event at the BBC's Old Broadcasting House in London as the new contestants got into their costumes for the first time.

There were sequins and feathers flying as stars including Vick Hope, Stacey Dooley, Lauren Steadman, Faye Tozer and Kate Silverton strutted down the stage.

Katie Piper, Ashley Roberts, Susannah Constantine, Joe Sugg, Danny John Jules and Sean Walsh also slipped on their dancing shoes for the first time.
