Love Island 2021: Footballer Toby Aromolaran revealed as tenth Islander

FOOTBALLER Toby Aromolaran has been named as the tenth Islander for the series. 

The 22-year-old from Essexis hoping to score off the pitch – but has never been in a relationship before.

Discussing why he's doing the show, he said: "I’ve never been in a relationship. I thought, ‘If Love Island can’t find me a relationship then no one can’."

Toby signed for semi pro club Hashtag United last year, but this summer is shaping up a little differently for him. 

Talking about team, he revealed: "I’ve played football since I was about six, but it’s really come into a new light for the past year since I joined a team called Hashtag United.


"They’re very social media focused. Everything is on YouTube, Instagram and Twitter. Playing with them has really made me fall in love with the game again."

Asked how his friends and family would describe him, he said: "Optimistic. I always see the bright side in the worst situations. I’m a fun guy when I go on a night out. Responsible guy as well."

Producers have already sighted up multi-lingual lawyer Sharon Gaffka,London 'ladies man' Aaron Francis, disabled cricketer Hugo Hammond and former glamour model Shannon Singh.

There is also water engineer Jake Cornish,fashion blogger Kaz Kamwi and labourer Brad McClelland.

The new Love Islanders will experience an increased “duty of care” from the show, ITV bosses announced this week.

They are hiring a new clinical psychologist, Dr Matthew Gould, in an ongoing bid to review their procedures and monitor stars.

The Islanders will get mandatory therapy sessions, extensive social media training (including how to handle trolls) and receive financial advice.

The casting team have also aimed to have more diverse contestants appear this series.

Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 28th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox
