Former Love Island star Jordan Hames has aired his thoughts on the final three couples in the seventh series of Love Island after the final on Monday night.
The 26-year-old has opened up on his thoughts about the stars on the show and it’s fair to say he isn’t afraid to ruffle some feathers with his polarising opinions.
The Manchester native appeared in season five of the hit ITV2 dating show back in 2019 alongside fan favourites Amber Gill, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.
Two years on, the star is still an avid fan of the show and now lives in Essex with his best friends from the villa Michael Griffiths, Danny Williams and Chris Taylor in their luxury bachelor pad.
In an exclusive chat with the Daily Star, the chiselled hunk revealed that as much as he liked Teddy Soares in the villa, he believes Faye Winter will ultimately be his downfall.
He said: “Teddy’s a nice guy [but] I think Faye’s got too much to say, far too much to say.
“When I was in there, there’s situations where in real life I'd actually speak up but when you’re in there everything’s heightened and you hold back a little bit.”
“But if I was in there now, being the person that I am now, I would say to Faye in certain situations, ‘Why, why are you trying to overthrow someone and shout at people? Chill out a bit.’”
He added: “She needs to relax, she needs putting in her place I think, cause people are actually scared of how much authority she’s got.
“Someone just needs to shoot her down and put her in her place,” he concluded.
The 26-year-old lettings executive has certainly caused her fair share of drama in the Spanish villa after the blonde bombshell sparked a record-breaking 25,000 Ofcom complaints following her explosive row with her beau Teddy.
And the hot-head from Exeter certainly saw some of the repercussions of her actions on Sunday evening as viewers watched her meet Teddy’s brother’s Carlos and Sidney who had plenty to say about her outbursts.
During the penultimate episode, fans watched as the final three got to meet the parents at the infamous villa where they introduced their partners to the family.
And Faye was prepared for a grilling when she finally came face-to-face with the dynamic duo as they told her how their family had watched her aggressive arguments with their brother.
As the two family’s got settled by the pool, Faye sheepishly turned to Carlos and Sidney and asked: “I wasn’t that bad, was I?”
To which they immediately replied: “You were terrible, you were really bad.”
Hoping to fix their thoughts on her she replied: “I am really sorry,” before they went on to add: “Bad is an understatement.”
Jordan also admitted he was rooting for Chloe and Toby to pull through as the Love Island winners of 2021, before they were pipped to the post by Millie and Liam.
“I’m backing Toby.” he revealed, “I feel like there’s been certain situations where he has really shown his maturity in the last few days.
“What you’ve got to realise about the show is, is that [the producers] show what they want to show. He’s not a bad guy.
“His biggest storyline was that he went from girl to girl and he’s obviously not doing that the whole time. Now he’s being presented in situations where it’s just him. So, yeah, big up Toby.”
Jordan Hames chatted as he joined a host of well-known Soap and Reality TV stars and an Olympic gold medallist at EE x Beatport Presents Parallel, the UK’s first hybrid, 5G powered club night, last night at Hatch, Manchester.
The famous faces – which included former Love Islander’s Callum Jones and Molly Smith, singer Tallia Storm and BMX Olympian Charlotte Worthington – enjoyed the one-of-a-kind event, where top DJs played back-to-back sets simultaneously, live over EE’s 5G network between two locations.
Love Island returns next year on ITV2 at 9pm.
