Lucifer season 5: Who is the Archangel Michael? Meet Lucifer Morningstar’s brother

Lucifer season five is expected to premiere on Netflix in the coming months. Originally, season five was expected to be the last series with an epic 16 episode final run. However, show creators Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich are currently in talks to continue the show into a sixth series.

Who is the Archangel Michael? Meet Lucifer’s brother

Michael Demiurgos is a fictional character, created by Neil Gaiman and John Bolton.

He is based on the archangel Michael and features in the Lucifer series by DC Comics.

So far, Michael has not appeared in the TV series Lucifer, which is based on the comics of the same name.

However, fans are hoping that he will make an appearance in the fifth and final outing.

The archangel Michael is an archangel in Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

In the new testament, Michael leads God’s armies against Satan’s forces in the Book of Revelation.

During the war in heaven, he successfully defeated Satan and it is this version of Michael that appears in the Lucifer comics.

In the Lucifer comics, when Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) began his revolt in heaven, he was outnumbered and defeated by his brother the Archangel Michael who used the Demiurgos (God’s power) to destroy his angelic forces.

Heals has a half-human half-angel daughter, Elaine Belloc, who has not yet appeared in the Lucifer tv series.

However, after the attack, a fallen angel named Sandalphon pierced his spear into Michael’s back and took him captive into a “pocket reality.”

Lucifer saved his brother and released the demiurgic power inside Michael, creating his very own cosmos.

Lucifer offered to enter a partnership with his brother in hell, but Michael refused and ever since the brothers have had a strained relationship.

Michael’s powers include the demiurgic power that allows creation out of nothingness. However, to use the power, he needs the presence of his brother, Lucifer.

Like all Archangels, Michael is immortal and possesses super-strength, super-speed, invulnerability, sonic cry, flight, telepathy, and the power to speak to animals.

Speaking at the Los Angeles Lucifer convention in August 2019, Lucifer star DB Woodside teased the potential appearance of Michael.

When asked what angel from the comics he would like to see next in the reis, Woodside said: “I think a lot of the family has a problem with Michael.”

Lucifer fans have been taking to Reddit and Twitter to share their theories on how Michael may appear in season six.

In late 2019, Matthew Bohrer was cast in the role of a new character named Donovan Glover, and some fans suspect that Donovan could be an alias for Michael.

One fan shared their theory on Reddit and said: “What if he’s Luci’s twin brother, Michael? Perhaps God had tasked him with watching the gates of Hell while both Lucifer and Amenadiel were on earth during S4?”

They added: “Michael knows Lucifer returned to rule Hell, so perhaps thinks he can get away with turning Chloe against Lucifer or having her fall in love with him instead, knowing how agonising it would be for Lucifer to know what is happening but be unable to leave Hell permanently without a king.

“Of course, Luci has been making trips back to earth to check on Chloe but hasn’t realised Michael is also on earth. Luci finally discovers what is going on and confronts Michael (awesome fight opportunity there!).”

One fan commented: “It seems to me, 2 against 2 are better odds. Besides, Archangel Michael is the strongest and greatest of ALL God’s angels and archangels.

“Even though in the bible, Michael was the one who cast Lucifer out of Heaven under God’s command, I wonder if the two can re-bond with eachother in order to stop their mother and brother from destroying their father. “

Another fan said: “I really hope they introduce Michael. He’s Lucifers opposite and THE warrior angel and he and Lucifer could have awesome chemistry.

“Then throw in a little Amenadiel. His character could be so bad**s.

“All three characters exist in the comic, so why not have them all in the show?”

Fans will have to wait until the fifth series premieres this Spring to find out if Micahel will make a long-awaited appearance.
