MasterChef: The Professionals viewers in stitches as contestant's comment about partner seriously backfires | The Sun

MASTERCHEF: The Professionals viewers were left in stitches over one contestant's comment about their partner.

The hit BBC cooking programme continued last night as just four finalists remain.

They each had to design a dish for a pop-up event.

But Devon-based chef James grabbed the attention of viewers at home.

He decided to make a glazed tofu with glazed mushrooms and crispy onions which went down a treat with customers.

When asked what was his motivation behind the dish, James revealed his partner is 'plant-based'.

The non-specific reply left viewers in stitches of laughter as they took to social media to react.

"His partner is plant based. Is he going out with a nettle #MasterChefTheProfessionals," said one viewer.

Another said: "I hope James doesn't see the other chefs cooking bits of his partner. #MasterChefTheProfessionals."

"He is cooking his partner to win," joked a third fan.

MasterChef: The Professionals sees the contestants whittled down over the course of several heats.

The surviving Chefs will then face a series of guest judges and even be challenged with opening their own pop-up restaurants.

Eventually, just one talented cook will be crowned the winner

But sadly for some, that dream is already over – and those who have left the competition are listed here.
