Based on Shirley Jackson's 1959 Gothic horror novel of the same name, it's set to be the scariest series on the streaming service to date.
The Haunting Of Hill House novel has already been adapted into a film – twice.
Mike Flanagan has now transformed it into a 10-episode series for Netflix, starring Timothy Hutton, Carla Gugino, and Victoria Pedretti, and the spooky trailer looks absolutely terrifying.
It focuses on the emotional trauma that the family endured when growing up in the haunted Hill House mansion.
The chilling two-minute video shows the children of a family growing up in a haunted house question their mother about the scary things that could happen to them.
It cuts to scenes from the future, that depict the real-life manifestation of those fears encountered by the now-adult siblings.
In one scene, a young girl lies dead in a coffin before rising up.
In another, a woman appears possessed and her eyes bulge as she is overcome with fear.
The 1963 film adaptation, titled The Haunting, won praise from critics – but the 1999 version was slammed.
The 1999 movie starred Liam Neeson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Owen Wilson, and was considered so naff that it was even parodied in Scary Movie 2.
The Haunting Of Hill House is Flanagan's fourth Netflix title.
He previously directed Stephen King adaptation Gerald's Game, slasher film Hush, and fantasy thriller Before I Wake for the streaming service.
Meanwhile, supernatural original series have already brought success for Netflix.
Sci-fi horror Stranger Things is currently filming its third season after winning acclaim from critics and fans alike.
The Haunting Of Hill House premieres on October 12th.
