James Bond: Producers ‘want someone in his 30s’ says King
It’s no secret that Christopher Nolan is a massive James Bond fan with tributes to the franchise littered throughout his films from The Dark Knight trilogy to Tenet.
The filmmaker’s current rate of turnover is a new film every three years and having delivered Oppenheimer this summer he’s free to take on a new project, including that upcoming Bond reboot.
Nolan has said if he were to helm the next 007 blockbuster it would have to be a “reinvention” and what better time for that than right now.
Recent reports claim that the director has been in serious talks with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli about helming at least two movies.
However, apparently, there’s been some disagreement over the direction his Bond 26 would take.

According to World of Reel, Nolan wants creative freedom to directly adapt an Ian Fleming Bond novel in its 1950s period setting.
However, it’s rumoured that in stark contrast Broccoli wants the usual modern setting for the new 007.
Of course, all this should be taken with a pinch of salt and now the director has addressed the issue himself in a new interview.

Speaking with the Associated Press, Nolan smirked and said: “No, sadly no. No truth to those rumours.”
Of course, this doesn’t mean he won’t end up bagging the job. After all, he did say “sadly” he isn’t signed on.
So keep your fingers crossed. Come on Barbara give him a shot.
