Olivia Attwood thinks Love Island’s Liberty will reach the final without Jake

Hi again everyone, it's Olivia Attwood – what a week it's been in the villa! I'm absolutely loving the Islanders this year and cannot believe we've already had three bombshells and lost one of the girls!

I think they're an interesting bunch and are quite different from any other year. I think it's a really good girl group, they all seem quite chill and nobody's trying to play up too much or hog the limelight. What's difficult is that nobody really likes each other yet because it's so early on, apart from Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish, there were no sparks for the first 24 hours which is quite unusual.

I really like Liberty, she seems very sweet and warm. I think Jake has the potential to have his head turned, but I think Liberty's in it for the long run. I wouldn't be surprised to see Liberty in the final because she is the type of person that just gets the nation's hearts. She is very cute and I think she'll be in the final but it's TBC if she'll be there with Jake.

Apart from that, there's no clear game players for me at the moment. I was obsessed with Brad McClelland but we're starting to see a different side to him. He really does not like Faye Winter in more ways than one, but I didn't think the way he went about it was completely necessary.

I'm getting drowned in messages from people saying Faye reminds them of me, I get 100 tweets and Instagram DMs a night! Some people are being catty and saying she's trying to copy me, but I don't see it really. I like Faye, I think she's one of the more interesting characters.

She's obviously got confidence and sass so it's natural that people will draw those comparisons but I don't see much similarity between us apart from that. You can only be yourself in there so if she is trying to copy me, she won't be able to keep it up. I think it's just who she is. I think most of the girls would have stuck up for themselves in that situation. He was a bit of a d**k.

It was so savage for Shannon Singh to go so early, but she might have been resting on her laurels too much. She didn't step forward for anyone, she didn't want to kiss anyone in the challenge which is fine, that's her prerogative, but in there, you've got to get stuck in or you will go. I've seen people saying they think she's gone into another villa or is hiding out ready for Casa Amor and while nothing's impossible, I think it's a bit early on to be playing those games. It's not like she's an ex coming back like they did with Malin Andersson, I don't see what her coming back would add.

I was told I was going to be the last girl going in, so I felt a bit put out when Jess Shears popped up an hour later. I think people thought me and Jess would clash because we were both such alphas in there, but we became best friends. Because the girls I'd already met were quite young and different to me, I actually felt relief that I had a friend. Plus, we could tell very early on that she was leaning towards Dom Lever so I knew I was safe. The other girls, especially Montana Brown, really felt the pressure and it was horrible for her because she was coupled up with Dom and she knew Jess wanted him.

I can sympathise with Aaron Francis as it's awkward when you're taken away from your partner but, deep down, I wanted to be. I had to do the sad face but inside I was buzzing. If someone outright chooses you and you don't want to be coupled up with them then it's s**t, but if you want to be stolen and someone has the bravery to do it then it's good.

We might start to see a change in the villa now because for the first 48 hours, you're very aware you're in a studio. You see the camera runs, you can hear noises, the bedroom is so bright. I found it so hard to sleep because you can hear the crew tapping away in the gallery and you're very aware that you're going to fall asleep on TV. I was worried I was going to snore – I've never snored in my life!

After the first two or three nights, you literally just forget and you feel like you're on holiday. Before I went on the show, people used to say it about Big Brother but I didn't believe them. You really do settle into it and forget. People always say the series is going to be boring for the first two shows, but it's always going to be slow because they don't know each other but from now on the games will start to begin, especially with Shannon being dumped – that will be a kick up everyone's a***s. Her going will definitely inject that adrenaline into them to really get the game started.

I get so grossed out by the challenges, I cannot bear watching people snog, it makes me feel physically sick. I like hearing people's secrets though so I think Horny Devils was a really good challenge. Snogging challenges are always early on because they break the ice, it forces you to push the boundaries and see if there's a connection with someone they didn't think there would be. I remember getting ready for the challenges and thinking 'I have to snog people!' It's different when you've had a drink but in broad daylight having to snog three or four people is the worst!

Bless Hugo Hammond, he has such a young energy. One of his secrets was that he snogged 10 girls in one night, it was like something you say after a school disco. I need more explanation about him having sex in the middle of the road though because it doesn't make sense. Maybe he was under pressure doing his interviews to say something raunchy and that's the first thing that came into his head. I just can't imagine how it works or happens.

The challenges take a while to film, you get dressed in your little outfits in the villa and you run down the hill – it's quite far! You get down to the bottom of the land and filming can take ages. I can imagine that was a long one to film because they would have had to have refilled the ice bucket a couple of times. It can get really hot and become really tough standing there for hours so I bet the ice bath was really nice!

I think the new bombshells Chuggs Wallis and Liam Reardon are both really attractive. They're interesting characters, they're not your typical bombshells. Without sounding harsh, I'm not sure any of the girls will have their heads turned for Chuggs, but some could be interested in Liam.

I'll speak to you all next week, so let's see if I'm wrong on the newbies. Make sure you let me know your thoughts on all the latest goings on in the comments section below! x
