Outrage! Fans clutch their pearls as Stacey swears in pre-watershed EastEnders

EastEnders fans were left in shock during the latest episode of the popular soap, after Stacey Slater used the word ‘t*t’.

Yes, really.

Stacey, as viewers know, is incredibly concerned about mum Jean (Gillian Wright), who has been behaving erratically as of late.

Monday’s (March 21) offering of the serial drama, however, saw her worries grow, after Jean purchased a bouncy castle and set it up outside The Queen Vic, blocking the market and the road.

Jean wanted to surprise the kids, particularly Arthur Fowler, in the wake of Kush Kazemi’s (Davood Ghadami) death, but soon enough, she ended up on the bouncy castle too.

Stacey attempted to talk Jean down to no avail, and thus she returned home with the kids in tow, before watching her mum from the window.

It was at this point that she stunned fans with her choice of words.

‘She’s still out there with Harvey!,’ said Stacey, ‘making a t*t of herself.’

Cue the shock.

Yes, within minutes of the scene hitting our screens, fans flocked to social media to double-check that they heard.

‘came here to check if Stacey did INDEED say t*t,’ exclaimed a surprised social media user. ‘Thanks for the confirmation folks.’

‘stacey saying “she’s making a right t*t of herself” has made my day in ways you won’t believe #eastenders,’ added another.

One more viewer wrote: ‘DID STACEY JUST SAY T*T #EastEnders.’

Swearing aside, Monday’s offering of the long-running soap was an interesting one for Jean, as Stacey decided to take action, as she told her mum she could no longer see the kids without supervision.

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
