Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby presented the final edition of this week’s This Morning today. The pair usually work Monday to Thursday but because this was their final working week before breaking for the summer, they hosting Friday’s show which Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary usually host. At the end of the jam-packed show, Phillip explained how working at the ITV magazine show over the past year has “saved him”. 

“Just before we say goodbye for the summer, we wanted to share a few of our most memorable moments,” Holly explained and those watching at home watched  a video of some of the funniest This Morning moments from the last year. 

When it concluded, Phillip said: “For us just to be here for you, it has saved us.” 

“Thank you, thank you very much,” Holly added and Phillip continued: “That’s it from us as we head off from summer…Eamonn and Ruth will be taking over the reigns on Monday. 

“Have a brilliant summer and stay safe, see you in September.”
