Real Housewives of Dallas Season 2 introduced the viewers to D’Andra Simmons, her very opinionated mother/business associate Dee Simmons, and D’Andra’s husband, Jeremy Lock. During her first episode, D’Andra shared, “Jeremy and I come from very different backgrounds. Jeremy has two kids from a previous marriage and I have none.” Jeremy has two sons named Koen and Keatin, per Instagram.
D’Andra revealed, “He’s retired from the military. He’s a photojournalist.” D’Andra even designated their home as “the United Nations,” since they “both traveled to so many countries and [they] collect things from their travels.”
She added, “My husband is hot. He’s handsome in that rugged sort of way that every woman wants and everyone wants to sleep with.” D’Andra isn’t the only one who thinks that, though. She told Bravo’s The Daily Dish that she receives a lot of feedback from Real Housewives of Dallas fans telling her, “Your husband is so hot” all the time.
While Jeremy was first exposed to the Bravo audience when D’Andra became a Real Housewife, D’Andra said, “he’s used to being in the spotlight” because of his career as a military photographer. Although being on reality TV wasn’t necessarily one of Jeremy’s aspirations, D’Andra said “he’s enjoying it for me.” D’Andra elaborated, “He’s been a really famous photojournalist and had a lot of criticism because he won the military photographer of the year seven times.” Basically, he was more than prepared for life as a Real House Husband of Dallas, even without realizing it.
D'Andra Simmons' husband, Jeremy Lock, is a veteran
D’Andra Simmons’ husband, Jeremy Lock, retired from the United States Air Force in 2013, following his 22 years of service, including time as a Master Sergeant Combat Photojournalist, per TexasLiving. Jeremy and his three siblings grew up in Dayton, Ohio, as members of a military family. Jeremy’s father was an aeronautical engineer in the United States Air Force and his grandfather was a World War II chief. When Jeremy started his career in the Air Force, he was an X-ray technician. While he was image processing X-rays in the dark room, he realized that photography was the field for him.
Jeremy told Smithsonian Magazine in 2018, “The images that I was processing and printing, the president was seeing, special forces were seeing, battlefield commanders were seeing, and even the Pentagon. It was all that kind of stuff that they were making their daily decisions off of. . . . there was a big sense of self-pride in doing this kind of work.” The RHOD husband has photographed U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, which earned him the Bronze Star for his distinguished service.
Although Jeremy retired from the military, he continued with photography in the private sector. His work has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, National Geographic, Time, and other publications, per his personal website. Jeremy shared, “My photographic journey is rooted in my ability to capture the essence and reality of humanity at its finest and at its worst.”
LeeAnne Locken's husband, Rich Emberlin, accused Jeremy Lock of cheating on D'Andra Simmons
When D’Andra Simmons joined Real Housewives of Dallas, she was best friends with OG cast member LeeAnne Locken. However, the two of them went from friends to foes after D’Andra’s first season. Their feud has many iterations and incidents, but D’Andra notably accused LeeAnne’s husband, Rich Emberlin, of cheating on her, and Rich returned the favor. Following the Season 3 Real Housewives of Dallas reunion taping, Rich claimed Jeremy had cheated on D’Andra with someone he referred to as “pretty Jessica,” according to Bravo’s The Daily Dish. Both LeeAnne and D’Andra denied that their husbands were unfaithful, but their strife reached new heights when their spouses got involved.
Per ET, D’Andra discussed the accusations during the Real Housewives of Dallas Season 4 premiere, sharing, “When I got back to my hotel room after [the] reunion, Rich started sending nasty text messages to Jeremy.” She shared specifics from those texts, which said, “I’m going to tell D’Andra all about pretty Jessica. She’s everything D’Andra isn’t. I didn’t want to, bro, because I usually have discretion, but I will not tolerate the baseless B.S. that your wife is spewing about me!”
Pot, meet kettle, much? It doesn’t seem like the infidelity accusations had much of an effect on D’Andra and Jeremy’s marriage, but the claims definitely put the nail in the coffin of D’Andra’s already-strained friendship with LeeAnne.
