Sharon Osbourne won’t be spending Christmas with Ozzy for first time in 40 years

Sharon Osbourne won't be spending Christmas with husband Ozzy for the first time in 40 years.

The former X Factor judge announced the sad news during her appearance as a special guest Loose Women panellist.

Ozzy had been due to join Sharon in their UK home over the festive period while she appears in Nativity! The Musical in London.

However, Ozzy suffered a horror fall and injured his spine and doctors warned him not to get on a plane.

The Osbournes will be spit apart as Sharon will spend Christmas in the UK with daughter Kelly, while Ozzy stays in the US with Jack and the grandkids.

Speaking on today's Loose Women, Sharon said: "He’s not going to come he's going to stay home with Jack and Amy and the grandkids and I’m here with Kelly,” she told her fellow Loose Women panellists.

"It’s the first time – this will be our 40th Christmas – that we’re not together. It’s going to be different. Kelly and I are going out for our Christmas lunch."

Sharon will keep in constant contact with her husband, who video calls her every day.

Asked how Ozzy was doing, Sharon replied: "He fell and damaged his spine. It’s kind of been like a domino effect, one thing happens then another thing.

"The doctors didn’t want him to get on the plane. And Ozzy I must say is quite nervous about flying all that way."

Sharon also discussed having her fourth facelift – and was praised by fellow panellist Jane Moore for being open about her surgical enhancements.

Sharon admitted: "It hurts! When people say it doesn’t hurt, believe me it hurts. Kelly told me that when I came out from the operating theatre, I was going, ‘Help me, help me!’"

Confessing she spent two weeks looking like Elvis Presley, Sharon said: "Ozzy is going, 'Is that what you wanted?' I'm like, 'I don't want to look like that – no'."

"It's all kind of sorted out…ish."
