Sinead Shelby plots escape from rapist Laurie in Hollyoaks

Hollyoaks’ Sinead Shelby (Stephanie Davis) is petrified of what her husband Laurie (Kyle Pryor) might do to her when he loses his temper. He’s already brutally raped her once – could he do it again?

Sadly, she’s right, as she becomes the victim of another attack, but that’s after she decides to give him one more chance.

Convinced he’s untouchable after Sinead’s decision to work on their marriage, Laurie is shocked to find himself bundled into Brody Hudson’s (Adam Woodward) car. Brody kidnaps him in a bid to get him to confess to sexually harassing Sienna Blake (Anna Passey).

The incident leaves Laurie fuming and when he is eventually let out of the car his intention is to let his anger out by going home and raping Sinead again.

The next day, petrified of her own husband, Sinead comes up with a plan to escape – she tells Laurie she has been accepted onto a residential nursing training course and has to leave for a few weeks.

Really her plan is to get as far away from Laurie as possible and not look back. But will he foil her plot? And if he does, could the ramifications be worse than she ever imagined?
